This weekend I attended the Fashion week in Prague with a very good friend of mine, from the 16th till the 19th of March 2017. I´ve been only once in Prague before, and that time we stayed at Top Hotel Prague, since we were looking for an affordable place to stay. Since I was quite happy with our hotel selection that time, I decided to book with them again.
The Hotel is located in Chodov, at the entrance of the city. It´s really easy to get there with the metro (Line C, the red one) who takes you to the station of Chodov. There´s a big shopping mall right outside. There´s a sign that tells you which way to follow to get to Top Hotel Prague, so it was easy to find our way without asking. Some stairs up and we were already at the bus stop waiting for the bus 115 that after a 4 minutes ride, arrives directly at the Hotel´s door.
We arrived on the 16th in the evening, the staff at the reception was very friendly and the check in was done in no time. We got a room in the 6th floor with an amazing night view of the city. The room was really big, with a huge and comfortable bed, a nice couch with a table and of course a desk. At the entrance, a place to hang our jackets, a closet and in front of it a big mirror which I totally loved. The bathroom was also very spacious, with a big bath tub, the usual complimentary shampoo, cream, shower gel and soap, and a hair dryer. We had of course a flat screen tv with cable and very important to me, free wi-fi everywhere at the Hotel. I´ve experienced many times that there´s no wi-fi in the rooms, only at the reception, or at designated places.
The reception is big and fancy, there are a couple souvenir shops. At night you can either choose to go to Prague´s downtown for a drink, which is about 20 mins from hotel, to the shopping mall, or stay in the hotel and spend some time in the Hotel´s casino, the bowling room or just enjoy a drink at the bar. We also had the chance to relax a little bit in the wellness section and it was a real pleasure.
Since it is a congress hotel, they have a lot of congress rooms, many restaurants and bars to choose inside the hotel.
The breakfast is included and it was very good. A wide variety to choose, from eggs, sausages, ham and cheese, to cereal, yoghurt, patries and bread. We enjoyed our morning coffee every day!
I was very pleased that all the staff was so friendly and willing to help. They answered nicely and with patience all of our questions about timetables and transportation. On our last day, we asked for a luggage room, since we still wanted to do some sightseeing before leaving and they gladly took care of our luggage.
If you are planning to visit Prague and don´t want to spend a fortune in Hotels, I totally recommend you Top Hotel Praha. Nice, clean, spacious, affordable, friendly staff, near to the shopping mall, easy to reach by public tranportation and only 20 minutes away from downtown.
I´ll definitely come back!
